Day Out With Thomas!

As we have done every year since 2008, we headed out to see Thomas the Train last Sunday with the kids. We had a beautiful day, not to hot and not raining so it was perfect. The kids had a fun time playing mini golf, jumping in the bounce houses, seeing all the trains, getting tattoos, coloring, playing trains and of course riding on Thomas (well Logan had fun, Ava was over tired and done at that point). We had lots of fun!


















This was a special train they had on display, all hand made, took 9 years to build!

Big News!!!

Brandi has accepted a position with Advocate Health Care as a Nurse Care Technician at her dream hospital!! One of the top hospitals in the state, she will be working on a medical-surgical over-flow floor, basically all the cases that don't fit anywhere else in the hospital go to this floor. A great opportunity for sure, and a huge accomplishment to get hired at this hospital, especially as a new grad! She will be working evenings and nights, although it sounds like they are going to start her on nights, which will be a big adjustment for her and the rest of us, but she is up for the challenge.

Brandi starts a two week orientation on September 12th, she will be expanding her scope of skills/practice quite a bit since she will be working in a hospital now. The biggest new skill to tackle will be learning how to do blood draws, which she is excited about!

We are so proud of her, she worked so hard for this and being hired at this hospital is proof of that. Wish her Good Luck as she starts her new career!!

3 years ago today we said goodbye to our Peanut baby. Always in our hearts and watching over us.

Fun at Gymnastics!

Ava is in her second session of Gymnastics and loving it for the most part (she still gets shy around coach and she really does not care for working on the bars, just like her mama ha!). Since it is a parent-tot class and I have to be out on the floor so her coach, which is also Logan's coach, lets siblings participate in the class as well, which is nice for Logan and me!

Plate Decorating!

Brandi hit a big clearance sale at Michale's a couple of weekends ago, and scored plate decorating kits for $2 for the kids to do. Ava has recently become a little Picasso and loves to color and paint all day long, so it was the perfect activity for her!
