Tree Time!

We decorated out tree today before Matt had to head into work. Logan was very good at it this year and Ava proved to be much more interested in the tree that Logan was at that age. She put some ornaments on and then took them off and then put them back on and off, you get the picture. She also had fun going through the ornament boxes. We put all the stuff animal and non breakable stuff on the bottom and we are going through tree boot camp with her now, she is doing pretty good with the touching and we let her play with the ones on the bottom so she seems happy with the arrangement, LOL. I am putting up my Christmas Village next and hoping it makes it through without any causalities...

What Logan Is Thankful For

I took a picture of Logan's feather on the turkey outside his door at school when I went to his parent-teacher conference the other day, thought I would share the important things my four year old is thankful for.

Hey at least he included fruit...

Parent-Teacher Conference

Logan's first parent teacher conference went really well. The first half of the year in the 3/4 year old class they concentrate on the social aspect of school so we went over how he transitioned (he was a little upset and quite the first few weeks) and his teacher said he is great now, much more comfortable, plays with the other kids and all that great stuff. He listens well and enjoys himself. They are aware of the therapies he was receiving and they have NO concerns about his speech or development, right where he should be, which we knew but it always feels good hearing it again. His teacher did mention he was a little apprehensive when they made applesauce, he didn't want to go near the blender, but that may or may not have been sensory related, he has never liked loud stuff. So his teachers are aware that there might be some stuff that triggers sensory reactions but nothing that is disruptive in any way. They wouldn't have known if we did tell them about therapy and I think that is awesome, he has come such a long way and it's good to know that the decisions we made for him were the right ones.

They had a folder for me with some pictures of Logan, a dot-to-dot he did of a pumpkin and sheet of his favorite things. We will have another conference at the end of February and that one will be more in depth and developmentally focused. She said that after winter break is when they start getting more academic with them, working on writing, cutting, etc. So looking forward to that! Matt got stuck in a meeting so he wasn't able to make it, which I think he was bummed, but I am sure there will be many more in our future.

When I get a chance I will scan the pictures his teachers gave me, cute stuff!

Ava has reached another important milestone, she found her love for purses! What does she carry around you ask? Her phone of course!

Ava "Reading"

I got a little video of Ava "reading" today. She will just sit and look at books forever, she really does love them. We crack up though when she starts reading in her little Ava language, it's too funny.

Excuse the mess of a house seen in the video, but ya know, we live here...

Halloween!

We had a pretty fun Halloween despite starting the day with Logan having a fever and throwing up because an empty stomach, milk and medicine didn't mix well, plus a lot of gross mucus from his cough, I know rookie move Mom. But alas he felt good enough to head out to Grandma's for a usual Halloween dinner and trick or treating. Hope everyone had lot's of treats and not to many tricks today!

Halloween pancakes to start the day!

Mario sporting his mustache today, which he loved and kept stroking and telling us how soft it was.
