Updates!

Life has been busy over here, but hey we like busy. The kids are doing great, Logan has continued with potty success and he uses the big potty now all the time. He is having a lot of fun at school with his little buddy and he looks forward to school every week. Logan is still doing gymnastics and having fun with that. Ava is just a little spit fire, she is getting very vocal and very clingy, she is a mamas girls for sure. She likes to be held and be the center of attention at all times. She thinks Logan is the best thing since sliced bread and watches him all the time. Logan can make her laugh like no other, it's awesome. Ava is pretty much sitting up by herself now, but she can't get her self up to sitting yet, but still doing very good. We are starting Ava on veggies and fruits this week, she loves her oatmeal and rice, and wasn't to keen on bananas yet. It's hard to believe that in two weeks she will be 6 months old already, time really is going way to fast this second time around.

Matt has been very busy with work, heading his first big project. In these uncertain economic times we thank God everyday that he landed this job when he did and that unlike so many other right now he has job security and we can actually look forward to a raise this year, when so many other's are being laid off or getting pay cuts. Such a blessing, and of course it helps that he enjoys what he does and he can move onward and upward from where he is in time. So while he is busy and being challenged at work, we don't complain. Matt has also been very busy at home doing work in the kitchen. We now have new counter tops, and a new microwave range hood! We are still waiting for our new black granite sink to come in so he still has a bit of work to do once that gets here. I will post some pictures, but for a guy who didn't know what he was doing, he did awesome work. We plan on replacing the stove hopefully in the next couple months, the only thing left will be the refrigerator to replace, it's looking good!

Brandi has been busy with skating and physical therapy and of course the kids! Brandi is performing in the ice show this year (April 30, May 1 &2) and rehearsals for that start after Easter. Physical therapy is going good, Brandi has noticed a difference while skating and feels stronger and is landing jumps with much more ease. She has less pain now and more good days than bad, pain wise. She has one more session with her PT and then she will be on her own with her home strengthen program. Brandi has recently made some career path changes and choices, that some of you may be aware of. Stay tuned for more as she gets ready for this exciting chapter in her life.

Here are some pictures of the fun we have been having around here!

Teeth!

Finally got a picture of Ava's pearly whites, it's way blurry but there is no mistaken those little white teeth. I am sure more are on the way, she is a drooly, chewing mess!

She thought this was hilarious by the way.

Happy 5 Months Ava!!

Yep our baby girl is five months old today, it hardly sees possible. She is getting so big and really starting show us her personality, which is full of sass by the way. If she gets mad, like say you walk away from her god forbid, she will let out this scream that could be mistaken for a 13 year old girl throwing a hissy fit...ah girls. I have a feeling we are in for a whole new ball game with this one. She also has the prettiest smile you have ever seen and absolutly loves her brother, she watches Logan like a hawk and just sequels in delight when Logan "plays" with her. People are starting to tell me that she looks like me, which I love. I figured I was doomed not to have any of my kids looked like me, but she seems to be changing and looking more like her mama. We just love her to pieces, I don't know what we did to deserve our two beautiful healthy children, but we thank God for them everyday.

We Wii weighed Ava tonight (unfortunately this is all the Wii Fit has been getting used for as of late) and she came in at 18lbs and we measured her as well and she is 26 1/2 inches, so she has grown a little length wise since her four month check up, but has packed on a few pounds. Here is our big beautiful 5 month old!

Ava's First Solids!

As much as we wanted to wait on solids, Miss Ava had other ideas. After watching her try to attack anything we put into our mouths and her above average growth rate (her pediatrician said we might have to start her earlier because she is growing faster than average), we couldn't deny her any longer. Thursday night Ava got her first taste of "food" which was oatmeal she seemed to enjoy the little that she actually ate. She seemed excited during the process, and tried to eat the bowl as well. She is still pushing a lot of it out, so we will work with oatmeal and rice until she gets the mechanics down and then move on to fruit and veggies!

Here are some pictures and video of the big event!

It's Tough Being A 4 Month Old...

Poor thing pooped out in her highchair while Daddy was making dinner. Her toy makes a great headrest though...

Fussy Little Girl=Teeth!

Miss Ava, whom has been a drooly mess for a couple of months now and a pretty fussy baby the past few weeks, finally had her first two teeth pop up last week! Her two bottom teeth (the same ones Logan got first as well) finally broke through and we caught a glimpse of them the other night. I have been trying to get a good picture of her new pearly whites but she hasn't been to keen on the idea, as soon as I can get a picture I will post it. She seems very interested in her new teeth, she keeps running her tongue on them and you can tell she is wondering what the heck those things are. We have a feeling more are on the way, she has just been off the past week, and she seems like she is uncomfortable and constantly gumming what ever she can get in her mouth. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon!

Since I couldn't get a teeth shot yet, enjoy this picture of our little princess all decked out for Auntie Katie's 18th Birthday party!
