Well we watched my due date come and go again and still no baby...bummer. Went to my 40 week OB appointment and when they took my blood pressure it was a bit high and I was spilling protein again, not good for someone that had blood pressure issues in a previous pregnancy. I got checked and I haven't made any progress since last week, so inducing me is out right now, so I was sent over to L&D (Labor and Delivery) to have blood labs drawn and be monitored for blood pressure, baby, and contractions. We were there all day, but the good news is my high blood pressure reading seems to have been a fluke, my pressures (aside from the first one they took in L&D which they don't count cause every women's first one is high because of stress of being there etc.) were textbook, I am having no other symptoms of pre-eclampsia other than the protein in my urine, which the one that is raised is the first one that starts to elevate in later pregnancy and I was told it wasn't a big deal, and lab work came back perfect, baby is moving around perfect with good heart tones, so I was sent on home....eventually. Since my doctor did an internal in the office he also did another sweep, which started up some pretty good contractions, the most labor like ones I have had so far and they were coming pretty darn close together and lasted for 2+ hours, they thought maybe I might have to stay and we were hopeful I was really in labor this time, but alas they spaced out and I was sent home with orders to take it east and come back tomorrow for another blood pressure check.
So back we went today and my blood pressure was perfect once again 120/80 so still we wait for this baby to make an appearance. I go back to the doctor on Monday for a NST (non-stress test) to make sure the baby is doing good still now that I have a post-date pregnancy and an OB visit and they are going to put me on the calender for a c-section after the 41st week if I don't go on my own. So that is all for now, we are hanging in there but I am ready to be done for sure!
